Sandstrom Partners Creates Brand Design for Unique Men’s Pant Line
Portland, OR – Award-winning brand design agency Sandstrom Partners recently completed a brand design for Bluff Works, a New York-based manufacturer of versatile pants for men, according to Sandstrom president Jack Peterson.
Developed and launched through an extremely successful Kickstarter campaign, Bluff Works pants were created by a young man who wanted pants that could be used for travel, outdoor activities, work and parenting—sometimes all in the same day—and could be worn multiple times without washing or ironing. Bluffs are manufactured in New York City and available in four colors. The pants are made from breathable, ultra-sturdy technical polyester—the same kind of fabric used in sports apparel.
“Bluff Works were created by a guy who loves to travel, ride his bike to work, and play with his young kid,” Peterson said. “What he doesn’t like to do is laundry. We created a brand design that imparts his lifestyle to like-minded men.”
Sandstrom designed a complete brand identity for Bluff Works that included a logotype, typography, color palette, labeling, button design and a guide printed on the back side of each front pocket (inside the pants) instructing the wearer on care for both work and play. Sandstrom also designed a website for Bluff Works with an e-commerce component; the entire site reflects the Bluff Works story.
