Client: Stillhouse Moonshine

The world’s first
stainless steel can
of whiskey.

Passionate about their 100% corn moonshine, Stillhouse Spirits wanted to create something truly disruptive. Our job was to conceive how and what this could be while avoiding the clichés of jugs and mason jars. Inspired by the notion that moonshine is so harsh it could make one go blind, we recreated industrial strength cans for turpentine or paint thinner. The package suggests a daring challenge (a.k.a. fun) and some playful irony as the unaged whiskey was quite delicious and distilled and produced to the highest standards. The fully custom 750ml stainless steel can is unique in the world of spirits. Its quality fabrication and finish is suitable for the fine products inside. It weighs far less and is more portable than glass. (Perfect for tailgating.) It’s unbreakable, and it’s 100% recyclable. It’s even engineered to fit a universal pour spout for the ease of use by bartenders.
